Indian MMA star Pawan Maan Singh is all set to take on Aili Muratbek at ‘Road to UFC‘ tournament taking place on June 9 in Singapore. UFC has announced the participants for ROAD TO UFC, the most significant opportunity for Asia’s top MMA prospects to make it to the world stage. The opening round will take place across two days, June 9 and June 10, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium ahead of UFC 275: TEIXEIRA vs PROCHAZKA, UFC’s first Pay-Per-View event in Southeast Asia on June 12.
Pawan Maan Singh is coming off of a win against Sandeep Kumar Dahiya which took place at Matrix Fight Night 5 in December of 2020. In that fight, he defeated Sandeep via unanimous decision. Prior to that, he defeated Jason Ramesh Solomon at Matrix Fight Night 4. Preceding the Jason fight, he fought Sandeep Dahiya to a draw at Matrix Fight Night 3. Pawan Maan Singh is currently riding on a four-fight winning streak and he has compiled a record of 7-2-1 in Professional Mixed Martial Arts.
Pawan’s opponent Aili Muratbek is a professional mixed martial artist out of China with a record of 9-2. He is currently riding on an eight-fight winning streak. His last fight took place in China where he defeated Yasen Sailikebieke via TKO in Round 1. The fight took place last December.
Pawan Maan is confident ahead of ‘Road to UFC’
The MMA India Show had the opportunity to chat with Pawan Maan Singh ahead of ‘Road to UFC’ where he talked about his preparation for the upcoming ‘Road to UFC’ event where he will be taking on China’s Aili Muratbek.
“My training is going extremely well and I am very motivated. Earlier I used to concentrate on my Boxing very much, but now I have focused heavily on my BJJ, Wrestling, and Kick Boxing. This is a big fight and I am leaving no stone unturned. My opponent is a striker like me, so this is going to be a very fun fight for me,” Pawan Maan Singh said.
