PFL 2 was held at the Chicago theatre in Chicago, Illinois. The event was a mixture of outstanding performances, a bizarre fightand controversial moment. However the story remains the same, majority of the past UFC fighters made a statement.

The main event featured a lightweight showdown between former UFC lightweight and Bellator champion Will Brooks taking on Luiz Firmino. Brooks won the fight via unanimous decision. The co-main featured two familiar faces as former UFC fighters Brian Foster and Ramsey Nijem squared off. Foster won the fight via TKO due to a flying knee. Two-time Olympic Judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison made her pro MMA debut against Brittney Elkin. She won the fight via first round submission.

In a controversial fight, former UFC lightweight Jason High took on Efrain Escudero. Escudero locked in a guillotine and referee chipped in to stop the fight even though High didn’t tap. High obviously in anger, pushed the referee. This is the second time High has put his hands on an official, as he was cut from the UFC for pushing a referee after his fight against Rafael Dos Anjos back in 2014. Former UFC featherweight Thiago Tavares was handed a controversial loss as well after landing an illegal groin strike to his opponent Robert Watley.
