UFC’s wildest fighter ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry has signed a multi-fight deal with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. According to the reports Mike Perry was released by the UFC so that he can sign a new fighting deal with the BKFC promotion. BKFC in recent times have added some amazing fighters to its wild roster and now Mike Perry has become their new hottest prospect. Perry had an amazing start to his UFC career but then faced a huge rough patch that had many brutal losses for him. He was also suffering from a lot of problems in his personal life that were proving to have an effect on his professional career. MMA Fighting was the first to report the news.
BKFC released the news to the media. Exacts details of Perry’s contract signing and UFC release are not yet out. No debut opponent, date, or location has been revealed at this time.
“Let’s skip all the formalities!” Perry said in a press release Tuesday. “This sport is evolving, and I am here to strike fear into the hearts of my competitors! I plan to intimidate the world when I show what a truly skilled combat specialist is capable of with his bare hands. I will dismantle the opposition and reach the glory I have longed for my entire life. I will be crowned King of the streets and King of combat sports! They will make me a Platinum Crown and carry me on the bloody backs of my defeated rivals! I am here to go straight to the top and make anyone think twice about entering my world! BKFC is my world!”
BKFC president David Feldman seemed pretty excited to bring in Mike Perry in BKFC.
“We’re thrilled to bring Mike aboard to our vast stable of exciting fighters,” Feldman said in a statement. “Over the last seven years he’s proven to be one of the toughest fighters in mixed martial arts, and his skill set, along with his aggressive style, works very well for our growing international fan base.”
In his last UFC fight, Mike Perry faced Daniel Rodriguez on April 10, 2021, at UFC on ABC 2. He lost the bout via unanimous decision. Mike Perry has fought 15 times in the UFC with a record of 7-8 in his UFC reign.
After his last loss in the UFC Mike Perry gave a pretty emotional statement.
“I used to be great,” Perry stated. “I don’t know what happened. I have one fight left on my contract. I’ll train hard, I’ll give it my all for my family. Whatever I have to do to give them a better life. I’ll bleed every day for them if I have to.”
Now Platinum Mike Perry will be entering a new world of fighting and has some great opportunities and fights lined up for him.
