Dustin Poirier slams Dana White and UFC and urges them to send “the right contract” for fight against McGregor

McGregor

It was rumoured that the rematch would be for the vacant title following Nurmagomedov’s retirement. However, White has rubbished all those rumours, confirming that Khabib is considering 30-0, and therefore, there will be no interim or vacant title fights anytime soon.

McGregor: The new favourite to win the UFC lightweight belt

‘The Notorious’ and ‘The Diamond’ fought each other at UFC 178. At the time, Dustin Poirier was an already established featherweight. Conor, on the other hand, was an up-and-coming prospect looking to prove himself against a tough adversary. The Irish superstar gave fans a glimpse of what he is capable of when he knocked out Dustin Poirier in round one of their fight.

Dustin Poirier’s last fight was a fight of the year contender against Dan Hooker in June this year. McGregor, on the other hand, fought Donald Cerrone in January, whom he took all of 40 seconds to beat.

The rematch between the two will be extremely interesting. Given that in six years since they last fought, both fighters have improved tremendously. Both are world-class strikes and the fight will be a chess match on the feet. MMA fans will hope the fight gets announced as soon as possible.

The No.2 ranked Lightweight, Dustin Poirier has already witnessed a failed booking with Tony Ferguson recently, and owing to the same concern viz. ideal fight purse, the match with Conor McGregor may also come in jeopardy, as the former Interim Lightweight champion, has apparently appealed to UFC to send him the right contract.
