Rampage vs Fedor targeted for Bellator-Rizin co-promoted year end event

Bellator MMA has been home to plenty of legendary veteran MMA fighters. It had almost become a trend that fighters on the verge of retirement joined Bellator and then walked off into the sunset. One of the most legendary MMA fighters of all time Fedor Emelianenko is about to do the same. It is widely being reported that Emelianenko is close to retirement and will in fact be fighting for the last time in Japan.

Emelianenko will apparently be fighting another MMA veteran and legend Quinton Rampage Jackson on December 19th in the main event that will be co promoted by Bellator MMA as well as the Japanese based promotion Rizin.

The news was first broken by Josh Gross of The Athletic. Here’s what he revealed:

It looks increasingly likely that Bellator will run a show Dec. 29 in Japan. Main event being discussed is Rampage Jackson vs. Fedor Emelianenko, and it would be billed as the Russian’s final fight in Japan.
