Raul Rosas Jr, the rising UFC prospect, has already etched his name in the history books as the youngest fighter to step into the Octagon till now. However, the Mexican wants to continue making history- and aims to become the first ever three-division champion in the promotion.

After defeating Mando Gutierrez by unanimous decision at Dana White’s Contenders Series 55 back in September last year, Rosas Jr made his UFC debut with a submission victory over Jay Perrin at UFC 282.

That was when Rosas Jr made history- by becoming the youngest fighter to star in the UFC, at just 18 years and 63 days of age. Prior to that, he revealed another dream of his- to become the youngest champion in UFC history, a record currently held by Jon Jones, who won the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship for the first time at 23 years and 242 days in 2011.

Ahead of his next UFC outing, against Christian Rodriguez at UFC 287, “El Nino Problema” made a bold claim during his brother Kevin Rosas’ professional debut against Nicholas Whitehead at FuryFC 73.

I deserve to fight for a title: Raul Rosas Jr

Despite his brother suffering a defeat, Raul Rosas Jr’s enthusiasm wasn’t dented a bit, as he aims to stun Rodriguez in April.

“I’m ready to go out there and show my skillset like I’ve always done. I don’t care who I face, I’m here to show that there are levels. Tune in April 8th, I’m going to show my skillset and show that I deserve to fight for a title,” said Rosas Jr.

“Just believe in yourself, no matter who doubts you,” the 18-year-old went on, “right now, me saying I’m going to be champion, a lot of people think I’m crazy that I’m going to become the youngest UFC champion, but I believe in myself and mark my words: I will be champion in one year or less.”

Up next, Rosas Jr stated that he aims to clinch gold not only at Bantamweight where he currently fights, but also at Featherweight and Lightweight.

“I’m just getting started, like this is nothing to me. I ain’t celebrating nothing until I have them three belts around my waist: 135, 145, 155, let’s go! Woo!” added Rosas Jr.
