The 7 years of UFC on major television network Fox had been nothing short of amazing.They had been together since 2011 and have over a hundred shows together.Although,the UFC has currently decided to move on to ESPN after signing a massive 1.5 billion $ deal.ESPN+ will start broadcasting UFC matches from early 2019 on the January 19 card headlined by Dillashaw and Cejudo for the 125lbs title.
Fox also had signed a massive deal of their own partnering up with the WWE over a lucrative deal.
The UFC signed the broadcast agreement with Fox Sports back then in 2011 ending their relationship with cable channel Spike.The deal was significant back then as it marked the first time that the UFC would televise its events on terrestrial television in the United States.
The first UFC event to air on Fox was a title fight between Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez on November 12,2011.The post and pre fight shows on Fox featured a lot of notable commentators like Joe Rogan and Jon Anik along with UFC stars like Dominick Cruz ,Kenny Florian,Daniel Cormier and others as analyst mainly and sometimes as commentator.Karyn Brant was also an active reporter in the shows.
