An unstoppable force meets an immovable object and one legend will have to fall for the rise of another!
The MMA gods have blessed upon us as lightweight king Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov will defend his belt against former interim champion and long time contender Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson on April 18 next year when they go through the process for the fifth time.
The lightweight division has always been the most stacked division in the UFC however what makes these two head and shoulders above the others are their unprecedented 12 fight winning streaks. Below you can see the names which they have defeated to seperate themselves from the pack. (via Twitter):

Needless to say champ Khabib Nurmagomedov is yet to face a blemish in his entire career and is undefeated inside the octagon since his debut back in 2012. Nurmagomedov has wins over veterans like Kamal Shalorus, Gleison Tibau, Pat Healy and Abel Trujillo on whom he registered a record breaking most takedowns in a single fight.
Nurmagomedov was also able to run through top 10 staples and big names like Michael Johnson, Edson Barboza, former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos, Al Iaquinta and former interim champion Dustin Poirier. However his biggest win being against double champ and superstar Conor McGregor.
Similarly Ferguson has had victories over veterans like Gleison Tibau, Abel Trujillo, Danny Castillo, Josh Thompson. Ferguson also walked pass through big names like Edson Barboza, former interim title challenger Kevin Lee, former title challenger Cowboy Cerrone and former champions Rafael Dos Anjos and Anthony Pettis.
However Ferguson will not have to snap Nurmagomedov’s win streak but hand him the first loss of his career.
