It’s safe to say that former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold certainly knows how to make an entrance. He made his way into the open workouts organised by the UFC in Perth in such a fashion, that it’ll surely be etched into the memory of all the onlookers forever. Rockhold arrived to UFC 221’s open workouts on Friday in Perth by riding on the back of a camel.
Rockhold was earlier scheduled to fight for Robert Whittaker’s middleweight title. However, “Bobby Knuckles” was forced to pull out of the fight due to a staph infection. The American will now be facing Yoel Romero for the interim middleweight belt.
Western Australia famously boasts of possessing the largest herd of feral camels in the world. Hence, camels hold a significance in Perth and Western Australia.
