Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey retired from the sport of MMA ever since losing in her fight against Amanda Nunes almost six years ago at UFC 207. However, the ‘Rowdy’ said that she is willing to make a comeback for big name.

The current WWE superstar and former UFC bantamweight champion revealed that she will back to MMA, if she gets the opportunity to fight another women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano. The fight between Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey has been a dream match-up for MMA fans for years and now in a recent appearence on ‘The Kurt Angle Show‘, Ronda Rousey revealed that it was a fight that she is interested in.

Gina Carano vs Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey shares her admiration for Gina Carano

There’s only one person I would come back for,” Rousey said (h/t POST Wrestling). “I’ve said it a million times, it’s not like it’s something new but for Gina, Gina Carano. She’s the reason why I got into fighting, she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful.”

Ronda Rousey fought the current Bellator champion Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 to win the first ever women’s bantamweight title. She then went on to defend her title a staggering six times.

On the other hand, Gina Carano made a splash in mainstream MMA when she fought Cris Cyborg in the main event of Strikeforce on Showtime in 2009. It was for the first time in history that a women’s fight was headlining a major promotion.

If she ever was like, ‘Ronda, I want to fight you tomorrow, 205 pounds,’ like, whatever the hell she wants — I’m not saying she’s 205 pounds, I’m sure she’s very svelte — if she wanted to come into my backyard and do the Rocky thing or, you know, ‘ding ding’ and we just do it in the backyard, I don’t care,” Rousey said. “I will fight Gina wherever she wants. Even if she doesn’t want to forever, leave that offer there.

It’s a respect thing, not like a, ‘F*** you. I’m coming to get you.’ It’s just like, ‘Hey, if you ever wanna pull that card out, it’s there.’ I love her. Thank you Gina for everything you’ve done.”
