Round1: Both fighters touch glove to start the round. Aziz starts with a leg kick and a jab. Aziz utilising his range and now Roshan Mainam shoots for the takedown. Roshan Mainam scores a takedown and goes for the half guard and hits from his elbow and now he sinks in a rear-naked choke and is in full back control.

Aziz Calim taps and Roshan Mainam scores a first-round rear-naked choke win.
Prior to this fight, Roshan Mainam has been on an undefeated streak under the ONE Championship banner. He last fought against Pengshuai Liu at ONE Championship: Reign of Dynasties last October and defeated him via rear-naked choke submission in the second round.
Roshan Mainam wants to make the country proud this year
Mainam has said that he wants to make his country proud this year and he has been training hard.
Mainam says, “Going forward, I am looking to use my striking more in my matches.”
“I would like to make my country proud this year. I am training with world-class fighters here [at Evolve], and the level of training here is quite different and a notch above the rest.”
“I have trained hard and tried to take myself to the next level. I have improved in my last two matches, and I would like to continue doing the same this year, too.”
