The Turkish Tyson is back!
After Volkan Oezdemir vs. Dominick Reyes, another light heavyweight slugfest is added to the UFC on ESPN+ 5 card as the kickboxing maniac Gokhan ‘The Rebel’ Saki (1-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) will return to take on Saparbek Safarov (10-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in London on March 16.
Saki made his UFC debut back in September 2017 against Henrique Da Silva. Saki didn’t disappoint as he delivered a vicious first round knockout. In his sophomore fight though, Saki got a taste of his own medicine as he faced a first round knockout against Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 225 back in June. Saki would definitely like to get things back on track.
Safarov on the other hand, has his back against the wall with a two-fight losing streak. However that does not make him any less dangerous as he has faced tough competition in both of his UFC fights against veteran Gian Villante and prospect Tyson Pedro respectively. Win or lose, Safarov has never went past the second round.
The latest UFC on ESPN+ 5 lineup now includes:
