UFC bantamweight star Sean O’Malley has opened up on the recent arrest of Andrew and Tristan Tate, and believes that the two aren’t on the illegal path, considering the exposure they have on the internet.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, have become one of the biggest topics on the internet throughout the past year, with their fair share of fans and haters. Recently, they were arrested for human trafficking charges and are currently held in detention for a month as they await their trial in Romania. If convicted, the two siblings could face up to 20 years in prison.

“Sugar”, who had met Andrew in Abu Dhabi before UFC 280 last October, recently went onto his podcast TimboSugarShow to comment on the arrest of the Tate brothers.

“They’re clearly intelligent in some ways. If they were making bread, and they were doing it illegally, I don’t think they would be on the internet as much, talking as much, as they do. Putting theirselves out there so much if everything wasn’t f**king just good,” O’Malley said.

“That’s the debate. People would say, ‘oh, I don’t want kids – I don’t think kids should be listening to this’, but I mean if you listen to it, it’s like, well, it’s not bad. It’s good. ‘Don’t be a b**ch’, basically. That’s all I’m saying,” he added.

Sean O’Malley wants to face Marlon Vera for Bantamweight title

Marlon Vera remains the only fighter to defeat O’Malley with a TKO finish on him at UFC 252 in August 2020. Since then, both men have become top contenders and O’Malley believes a rematch with “Chito” for the title would be the biggest fight in the division.

“What’s going to happen ? I don’t want to think about it too much,” O’Malley said on his YouTube channel. “I used to call ‘Chito’ a tourist, but that was before he beat all those good guys. I didn’t think Chito was going to get as good as him (Marlon Vera), but he got good.”

“He’s gotten really good, and I have nothing but respect for him. I hope he beats Cory and Aljo beats Henry, Aljo goes up to 61kg and me against “Chito”, July, massive fight, for the belt,” he added.
