Sean O’Malley, the UFC bantamweight champion, has been caught up in a feud with Conor McGregor since a tweet from ‘The Notorious’ in May. However, recent interviews shed light on the situation, revealing that the tension might not be as intense as it seemed.

In May, Conor McGregor sent out a tweet that sparked controversy between him and Sean O’Malley. McGregor criticized Ryan Garcia over the drug issue and in the same tweet McGregor dragged O’Malley because he also tested positive for the same substance in 2019.

Sean O’Malley’s Response TO Conor McGregor

Sean O’Malley addressed the situation on his YouTube channel, hinting that he had spoken to McGregor and that they were on good terms. However, in a subsequent interview, O’Malley clarified that he had not actually talked to McGregor directly. Despite this, he expressed no ill feelings toward the former two-division champion.

O’Malley stated, “I jokingly on my podcast said we talked, we’re good,” O’Malley told MMA Fighting. “I haven’t talked to him since.

“I’ll forever be a massive Conor fan. The biggest fan, watched his career play out, watched every single interview possible. I learned a ton from him. He’s a legend. That’s it. It is what it is.”

While the bad blood may not have completely dissipated, it seems that Sean O’Malley is taking a mature approach. As he prepares for his upcoming title defense, he remains focused on his career and hopes to face Merab Dvalishvili soon.
