UFC bantamweight superstar Sean Malley has responded to comments made by the newcomer of the UFC, Paddy Pimblett. Recently UFC’s newcomer Paddy made his debut in the UFC at UFC 191 in emphatic fashion. He knocked out his opponent in the very first round of the fight. The knockout also got him a 50k bonus. Paddy is known for his amazing skills in the ring and also for his strong mic presence. He also already fired shots at former UFC lightweight champions, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. And now his new target was the UFC bantamweight superstar ‘Sugar Show’ Sean O’Malley.

Paddy talked about the bantamweights sensation Sean O’Malley and made some comments about his fight game. Paddy stated that he feels like Sean hasn’t fought decent competition in the UFC yet and he will not be able to compete against an elite grappler as he may give Sean some problems to worry about.

“The amount of people that have tweeted me or Insta’d me over the past month or two saying, ‘Fight Sean O’Malley,’ I’m like, ‘Lad, he’s well lighter than me…’ But he’s a bit of a bitch-ass, isn’t he? Breaks his ankle and blames his loss on that. He’s a little pothead, so hats off to him,” Pimblett, who won his UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini via first-round KO, said of O’Malley in a recent interview with MMA On Point (h/t Low Kick MMA).

“He’s got clean strikes. He’s got good standup. But as soon as he gets put in there with a decent grappler, he’s gonna get beat.”

The comments made by Paddy didn’t seat well with Sean O’Malley and he responded to the Brit on his podcast. Sean said that he didn’t know Paddy had talked about him in his interview and he felt that those are irrelevant comments. He said that he feels like Paddy made these comments about Sean just to get the audience’s attention.

“Yeah, I didn’t know he was talking shit about me. That’s not very nice,” O’Malley responded on his podcast. “Maybe he just knows that talk bad about me, it’s publicity. He said I had bad grappling. I wonder why people just assume I have bad grappling. So it’s just weird that some people just assume that because I’m a good striker I must be a bad grappler.”
