There’s no lack of controversy regarding Sean Strickland’s statements and the UFC middleweight contender’s latest discourse is about taking women out of the workforce and put back in the kitchen.

Think about America prior to women voting: Sean Strickland

Strickland is well known to put no filter on his mouth, and is featured in many headlines regarding the several questionable statements he has made over the years, to which many have taken offense.

At the media day for his upcoming fight against Abus Magomedov headlining UFC Vegas 76, “Tarzan” took a shot at women by saying that they need to be taken out of the workforce and put back into the kitchen.

“We need to go back to taking women out of the workforce, and maybe that’s where we f****d up. We let women vote, no offense. Think about America prior to women voting,” said Strickland.

“They tried to ban alcohol, I don’t even drink but I’m not trying to ban alcohol. So, what you did, man, you let these women come into the workforce, now we make less money, you got kids raising themselves on TikTok, we need to go back to like 1942, maybe 1958 after we f****d up the Germans. We need to put women back in the kitchen, only one man needs to be working, so as a collective man group we need to elect someone that’s gonna put women back in the kitchen, one man working, raise the wages, and build a f*****g wall,” he added. It is highly likely that Strickland’s statements will soon generate a massive backlash. The 32-year-old already receives bitterness from many fans of the sport for his uncensored comments and these remarks on women will expected to earn the 185-pounder some fresh new grudges.

As for his MMA career, Strickland is 1-2 in his last three fights and in his latest outing in the Octagon, defeated Nassourdine Imavov back in January at UFC Vegas 67. The fight against Magomedov is expected to be a title eliminator, and a win might get the 7th ranked middleweight a step closer to the title fight.
