Martial arts fans have waited years to witness monumental battles between ONE Championship and the UFC.

Several dream fights across multiple weight classes could leave fans at the edge of their seats. Some of which are “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan versus Rose Namajunas in a strawweight world title showdown or Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov against Kamaru Usman for the welterweight world title.

But one dream match that will spark the interest of all mixed martial arts fans is a fight between ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong and UFC President Dana White.

On Tuesday, 4 January, ONE Championship’s official Instagram account posted a short clip of Sityodtong unleashing some ferocious combinations during a pad work session at Evolve MMA in Singapore.

The caption reads: “Who wants to see Chatri vs. Dana?”

It did not take long for Sityodtong to respond to the post.

“Send me location,” the lifelong martial artist commented, accompanied with a laughing emoji.

His message may have been short, but Sityodtong believes he has all the tools to power his way past his American counterpart.

The Singaporean-based self-made entrepreneur has been training Muay Thai for 35 years. He started his journey under the tutelage of the late Master Yodtong Senanan at the esteemed Sityodtong Gym in Pattaya, Thailand.

He still hones his craft every day while balancing his responsibilities for ONE.

Apart from his world-class knowledge of “the art of eight limbs,” the Thai native is also a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, earning his promotion through world champion Renzo Gracie.

Several of the promotion’s top stars also weighed in on why Sityodtong will defeat White should the two compete in the Circle one day.

Yusup “Maestro” Saadulaev, the #3-ranked bantamweight contender, is confident that the ONE Chairman will completely outclass White.

“Chatri will smash Dana,” the 36-year-old posted in the comment section.

Former UFC fighter and now #3-ranked strawweight Jarred “The Monkey” God” Brooks echoed a similar sentiment.

“Uncle @yodchatri would bet the breaks off Dana,” the American star wrote.

In the meantime, download the ONE Super App to catch all the action from ONE: HEAVY HITTERS.

Fans in India can watch the show live on Disney+ Hotstar or Star Sports Select 2, beginning with the lead card at 3:30 p.m. India Standard Time (IST) on Friday, 14 January.
