UFC 230 co-main event fighters, top ranked lightweight contender Dustin Poirier and popular MMA fighter Nate Diaz have been demanding to officially be made the main-event of the evening and be given a shot for a new 165 pounds title. The UFC management and the UFC President Dana White have been denying and out-right refusing the idea of a new 165 pounds division being created and have also stated that they will find a headliner for the UFC 230 card soon. Diaz in particular has been gunning a bit too much for the division. However, in a recent and rather shocking turn of events, it has come to light that the younger Diaz has not yet signed the contract to fight Poirier at UFC 230!
Poirier recently took to Twitter to vent out his frustration about this entire situation. “The Diamond” sent out a tweet to Diaz stating that he is ready to face him at 155, 165 or even 170 pounds but is still waiting for him to sign the contract. He signed off by stating Diaz’s trademark, “I’m surprised motherf**ker”. Here’s what he had to say:
155,165,170 LBS UFC 230 main event I’m waiting on you now Nate. You haven’t said yes… I’m surprised motherf**ker!
Below is the tweet by Poirier:
