Former two-division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre thinks that both Jon Jones and Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou are scared to fight each other, thus the fight is still not signed by them.

The moment Francis Ngannou knocked out Stipe Miocic and became the new heavyweight champion, the only person to call him out was none other than the one of the time great Jon Jones. Jones signaled his interest in fighting Ngannou, tweeting “let’s play baby” and “show me the money” after the new champ was crowned.

But as his reactions got to UFC President Dana White, who made remarks on Jones which eventually pissed off Jones and especially irritated at White’s opinion that he didn’t want the fight, or that he would be thinking about fighting in the middleweight division after witnessing Ngannou’s devastation of Miocic.

George St-Pierre talked about Jones vs Ngannou

Since Then there has been a lot in the story between Jones and the UFC regarding his paycheck to fight Francis. Many people and MMA critics are claiming the reason for the fight to get delayed is because Jon is scared to face the man in Ngannou considering the vicious knockout of Stipe. St-Pierre recently countered that sentiment.

“Yes, Jon Jones is afraid of Francis, and Francis is afraid of Jon Jones because if they would not be afraid, that’s mean they don’t care,” St-Pierre said on The Joe Rogan Experience.

“Fighting, I’m sure, is important for them. Success is important for them, and when you put it all on the line, it’s normal to be afraid. If the price is good, even though he’s afraid, regardless of how he feels, he will do the job. He will bite in his mouthpiece and do the job.”

St-Pierre is one of the most successful MMA fighters of all time in and out of the Octagon if anyone can understand the fight game better is him. He has defender is title several times and is the welterweight goat.

As the former two-time UFC light heavyweight champion, Jones now feels he’s done fighting for anything less than his worth. Therefore leading to him stating that a $10 million payday would be too low for a fight that is the magnitude of one with “The Predator.”

Even Jon’s arch-rival Daniel Cormier said that just because Jones is asking for a payday, it doesn’t mean “Bones” is afraid of facing Ngannou.

“Jon Jones, for everything that’s between us, is not afraid of Francis Ngannou,” Cormier said on ESPN’s “DC and Helwani” show. “This is absurd that people think that – he’s not afraid, bro.”
