Superlek Kiatmoo, known as “The Kicking Machine,” has quite a busy calendar after his successful title defense against Takeru Segawa last January. His next two opponents are no pushovers:
On June 28, at ONE Friday Fights 68, Superlek will face Kongthoranee in a three-round flyweight Muay Thai battle at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. While pundits may consider this a “tune-up” match, Superlek doesn’t underestimate his compatriot.
Less than three months later, Superlek will fly to the United States to challenge Jonathan Haggerty for the bantamweight Muay Thai crown at ONE 168: Denver on September 6. Haggerty, a British two-sport king, is no stranger to the spotlight.

Superlek acknowledges the differences between his opponents:
“I think Kongthoranee is also a very good fighter. [He has a] different style if you compare it with Jonathan Haggerty. I think he’s [ranked] lower but his power is superior. He’s a technical Muay Thai fighter who can actually score a KO.” Superlek stated.
Despite being ranked lower, Kongthoranee possesses superior power. He’s a technical Muay Thai fighter who can score a knockout. Superlek respects his abilities and doesn’t take him lightly. Superlek previously defeated Haggerty, but he doesn’t dwell on past victories. Instead, he recognizes Haggerty’s remarkable improvements over the years. Superlek himself has evolved into an even deadlier fighter, comfortable with ONE’s style and smaller gloves.
As Superlek sharpens his lethal knees, fans eagerly await these high-profile matches. Whether it’s Kongthoranee’s power or Haggerty’s resilience, Superlek knows he can’t afford complacency. The Muay Thai world will witness clashes of skill, heart, and determination.
