A Women’s Flyweight bout between Taila Santos and Erin Blanchfield has been added to the fight card of UFC Fight Night 219, scheduled for 18th February at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
The announcement came from Blanchfield herself, the 10th ranked flyweight who announced on Morning Kombat that her next outing in the Octagon will be Santos, the former title challenger. She also revealed to have inked a new four fight contract.
“I signed a new four-fight deal and I signed to fight Taila Santos,” said Blanchfield.

“Cold Blooded” has become one of the most exciting rising prospects in the UFC. The 23-year-old has gone 4-0 in the promotion, with her last victory coming in against Molly McCann at UFC 281 last month.
Marking her second victory of the year, Blanchfield submitted McCann right in the first round via kimura choke. The former Invicta FC fighter has picked wins over Sarah Alpar Miranda Maverick and JJ Aldrich earlier.
Santos, on the other hand, is currently coming off a defeat against reigning 125-pound champ Valentina Shevchenko via split decision in the co-main event at UFC 275, putting her promotional record at 4-2.
The 12th ranked women’s flyweight, prior to the title shot, had defeated Joanne Wood via rear-naked choke at UFC Vegas 43 in November last year, which marked her fourth straight victory.
As of now, the UFC Fight Night 219 fight card includes:

- Light Heavyweight bout: Ovince Saint Preux vs. Philipe Lins
- Women’s Flyweight bout: Taila Santos vs. Erin Blanchfield
