Tatiana Suarez is the new sensation in the women’s strawweight division. A performance which defined dominance, Suarez rag dolled the inaugural 115-pound champ Carla Esparza in their meeting at UFC 228 this past Saturday night.
The way, TUF Season 23 winner, Tatiana has used her wrestling to pressurize opponents and provided her perfect 7-0 professional record, which doesn’t involve the 3 wins that she had during The Ultimate Fighter, people have started drawing parallels between her and UFC’s lightweight kingpin Khabib Nurmagomedov.
This time it’s Suarez herself who has made a hybrid name by combining hers and that of Khabib in an Instagram post.

The comparison came into light this past May after Tatiana made easy work of Alexa Grasso. Post fight,when asked about her comparison to Khabib Nurmagomedov by Laura Sanko of FS1, Suarez was happy to be named in the same breath as Khabib .
“I love that comparison because I’m a huge fan of his,” Suarez said. “I really base a lot of my wrist riding off of him. I do that a lot in practice.”
Now that she is very close to being in the title mix, Suarez isn’t rushing things. She is planning to take on Kowalkiewicz next at 115 pounds .
