UFC Strawweight star Tatiana Suarez will be back in action since June 2019 and will be fighting Roxanne Modafferi at UFC 266 which takes place on September 25.
Tatiana Suarez is one of the best women fighters on the UFC roster. Suarez faced Team Claudia teammate Amanda Cooper in the finals at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale. She won the fight by D’Arce choke in the first round to become the strawweight tournament winner.
UFC is targeting Tatiana Suarez vs. Roxanne Modafferi at 125 pounds for UFC 266 on Sept. 25, sources say. Not done yet but that’s the one they have zeroed in on. Would be Suarez’s first fight since June 2019.

Suarez faced Viviane Pereira on November at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Pettis. She won the fight via unanimous decision. Suarez fought Alexa Grasso at UFC Fight Night 129. She won the fight via a rear-naked choke in round one. Suarez went on to fight Carla Esparza at UFC 228. She won the fight via TKO in the third round and extended her UFC streak to 4-0. Tatiana challenged Nina Ansaroff on June 8, 2019, at UFC 238. She won the fight via unanimous decision and went 5-0 in the UFC and overall 8-0. That was her last fight in the company as she faced multiple injuries and has gone through many surgeries which made her sir aside for a while.
Roxanne Vincenta Modafferi is a women’s fighting veteran. She nearly has five times more experience than her opponent Suarez. She is 25-18 in her fighting career. Though she has many losses in her fighting career she is a true veteran of the sport and never shy’s away from any fight and always gives her best. It will be a great opportunity for her to fight a rising contender and win over her will put her right back at the top of the division’s food chain. In her last outing, Modafferi was scheduled to face Viviane Araújo at UFC on ESPN 20. However, the fight was rescheduled and took place 10 days earlier at UFC Fight Night 185. She lost the fight via unanimous decision. She was also going to face Taila Santos at UFC on ESPN 24 but she pulled out of the fight due to injury.
The fight will be taking place at Flyweight as Tatiana has always faced issues while cutting down to 115 lbs. In her latest interview, she stated her desire to move up the flyweight and how weight cutting has affected her career.
