The Immortal Matt Brown is back! One could be forgiven for thinking that Brown may have hung up his gloves and retired for good. However, that was certainly not the case. Brown was nursing an injury and has now finally fully recovered and is back again all set and ready to rumble. Brown will now soon be seen competing against fellow UFC and MMA veteran Ben Saunders.
Brown had last fought and iconically defeated Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 120 via an elbow to the head back in November of 2017. Brown has since suffered a torn ACL and had been on the sidelines ever since trying to get back to full fitness.
While there were plenty of rumours and speculation about Brown’s return, it has now all been officially confirmed by the UFC management itself. Brown will be fighting for the first time in over two years at UFC 245 by the end of this year in December.
Brown’s UFC 245 opponent Saunders is on a downward spiral and is currently on a three fight losing streak in desperate need of a victory.
