Themba Gorimbo came into the limelight after knocking out Pete Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 235 in a match that lasted for just 32 seconds but Gorimbo went on to do something even more spectacular. Gorimbo wants to invest his fortune into doing something productive for his village. Themba Gorimbo labeled his desire to support his native country of Zimbabwe as the motivation behind his “hunger” as a fighter.
Themba Gorimbo opened up in an interview
“I’m going to Zimbabwe to build a [solar-powered] library in my village so that the children in my village can have the opportunity to study at night. I passed my high school, but growing up I could have done better if [I had more time to study] after school. You walk 10 kilometers to school and 10 kilometers back. By the time you get back home, it’s dark so you don’t have time to study [like the other kids].”
Themba Gorimbo wants to build solar-powered lights in his village Muvuti Bikita so that students can study and not face the same situation Gorimbo went through. He also wants to improve the situation of transportation in his hometown as students have to walk 10 km to school and he vows to never feel “full” until proper education and infrastructure are available in Zimbabwe

Themba Gorimbo’s incredible performance at Vegas 85 earned him praise from all over the world and even from Hollywood superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Dwayne Johnson showered “The Answer” with praises after he incredibly knocked out Pete Rodriguez. Gorimbo, after the fight shared a video of him speaking with Dwayne Johnson on an Instagram call where he was seen thanking Dwayne Johnson for his support.
