The UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw was recently present on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, where he talked about his fight with Henry Cejudo. In the lead up to his fight with Cejudo, Dillashaw had talked about being the one to shut down the UFC Flyweight Division. Unfortunately for him, Dillashaw lost his fight with Cejudo in only 34 seconds.
TJ Dillashaw, despite his drastic weight cut, Dillashaw was not able to perform for long. He lasted only 34 seconds before he was knocked out by Henry Cejudo. Cejudo hit him with multiple shots to the face, which saw him collapse 4 times before the referee called the fight.
In the lead up to his fight with Cejudo, Dillashaw had talked about being the one to finally shut down the Flyweight Division multiple times. At the time, there was an ongoing rumour that the UFC was planning to close the Flyweight Division. There was a theory, that if Dillashaw won, the division would be shut down for good.

Dillashaw confessed on the Helwani show that he had not really wanted to ‘kill off’ the Flyweight Division. For him, it had been part of the storyline, and he had run with it. When he had made the claim that he would be the one to shut down the division by winning the title, Dillashaw had drawn a lot of criticism. Now it appears that he did not mean it at all.
For now, Dillashaw will be looking to recover from his loss and bounce back with a win soon.
