UFC 229 is in the books and it’s safe to say that the event lived up to the hype. While all eyes were on the fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis stole the show with their crazy brawl.
It was Ferguson that came on top in the end with a stoppage victory. After the fight, both men showed some great sportsmanship and paid respects to each other. Ferguson and Pettis have now been rewarded by UFC as well. The fight was picked for the Fight of the Night reward.
This means that both Ferguson and Pettis will take home $50,000 for the event. Apart from these two, Aspen Ladd and Derrick Lewis will take home the same amount as they were chosen for Performance of the Night reward.
Lewis had secured a last-minute knockout over Alexander Volkov at the event. Meanwhile, Ladd went home with a first round stoppage win over former Invicta champion Tonya Evinger. With the win, Ladd improved her record to 7-0.
