Charles Oliveira and Tony Ferguson might have been adversaries in the past, but in the aftermath of UFC 274 last weekend, Oliveira has offered to train Ferguson, to which the latter has issued a response as well.

If you wish, let’s train together: Charles Oliveira tells Tony Ferguson

UFC 274 didn’t go well for either Charles Oliveira or Tony Ferguson. “El Cucuy”, who is a former interim lightweight champion, suffered his fourth defeat in a row via a brutal 2nd round front kick KO from Michael Chandler, and has now gone almost three years without a victory.

On the other hand, while Oliveira dominated Justin Gaethje to a first round submission victory, “Do Bronx” was stripped off of his lightweight championship before the fight after missing the weigh-in limit by 0.5 pounds.

Following the event, Oliveira took to Twitter to offer his fellow 155-pounder training at ChuteBoxe’s headquarter in Sao Paulo before Ferguson’s next fight.

“We’re among big dogs, up&downs are part of our jorneys. I admire you a lot Tony Ferguson. You’ve the history inside the Octagon. Head up “El Cucuy”! If you wish, let’s train together in ChuteBoxe’s hedquarter in São Paulo for your nxt fight. You’re a brother!” Oliveira tweeted.

Ferguson responded by advising Oliveira to check his weight before his next fight.

“I’m glad you listened. Way to stay focused Chuck – CSO – Don’t let your team let you miss weight again ok Buddy. We’ll see you soon kid, be good- Champ,” Ferguson replied.

Oliveira and Ferguson crossed paths on the undercard of UFC 256 on 12th December 2020, in which Oliveira picked up a unanimous decision victory and its the second of the last four losses of Ferguson. Oliveira then went on to clinch the vacant lightweight belt which he was stripped off of before UFC 274.
