Former UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is all set to fight rising lightweight contender Charles Oliveira at UFC 256 taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada later this week.

Both fighters accepted the fight on short notice. However, El Cucuy has an ultimatum for the Charles Oliveira ahead of their big fight.

Taking to Twitter, Tony Ferguson stated that he won’t fight Charles Oliveira if the Brazilian misses weight by three of more pounds.

TUF13 – We Are No Longer Working W/ My Former Nutritionists Perfecting Athletes. At The Beginning Of This Camp I Made A Conscious Decision To Trust In What Got Me Here & The Results Are Amazing,” Tony Ferguson wrote on social media. “I Have Been Competing In Athletics For Over 30 Years & Making Weight The Same Amount Of Time. Weight Is Good & Eating Right!!! I Am Counting On The Brazilian @charlesdobronxs & Others To Come In Overweight Like Usual.

So I’m Calling It Now. Case Law: Short Notice Fight, @charlesdobronxs Will Not Cut Weight All Week & Show Up 3-4 Lbs Over Weight & Use The Excuse Of A Short Notice Fight. If he shows up that much overweight We are not competing,” Tony Ferguson added. “So crew, Make sure you visit the kids page @charlesdobronxs & Encourage him to make the weight if you want to see a fight. Champ Shit Only™️ Crew.”

Tony Ferguson has all the right reasons to issue this ultimatum considering, Charles Oliveira has a history of missing weights. ‘Do Bronx’ fought Ricardo Lamas back in 2016, where he missed weight by 10-pounds.

Charles Oliveira confident of finishing Tony Ferguson

Heading into this fight, Charles Oliveira is confident that the winner of this fight is going to fight for the title.

It’s very clear: Whoever wins this fight is the next title contender,” Oliveira said. “I have to stay focused and concentrated. He was coming off 12 wins in a row and I think he made a mistake against Justin Gaethje, so we can’t make mistakes in there.”

Winning this fight I’ll be the next challenger, no doubt,” Oliveira added. “Seven wins in a row at the moment. It will be eight after this, and I don’t plan on leaving it in the judges’ hands. It will be eight finishes in a row. There’s no way I have to wait. I’m the next challenger.”
