The President of the United States Donald Trump made a remark on what Joe Biden would be as a UFC fighter.
With only a few days left until the elections, Donald Trump and his opponent Joe Biden are ramping up their rallies and hate for each other. The two have been going back and forth on each other in terms of their policies and behaviors, but Trump took a slightly different approach this time, when he said in his speech how Joe Biden, or as he calls ‘Sleepy Joe’ would flare in an MMA fight.

“With Sleepy Joe, I don’t think Sleepy Joe would be a good fighter, do you? I asked Dana (White) before. One gentle little touch to the face and he’s down. He’s down and he wouldn’t get up very quickly either, would he?” Donald Trump said. “Joe Biden’s out there saying, ‘I’d like to take him to the back of the barn.’ Ok. Now if I ever said that to him, they’d say, ‘He practices violence. The president practices violence.’ Remember he said, ‘I would take him to the back.’ It’s like, if you have to fight someone, that’s your dream fight.”
UFC President Dana White has maintained close relationships with the President, and was also present at the Republican National Convention alongside Colby Covington. This relationship proved helpful when Dana wanted to make fights happen in the US, and he was helped with the transportation of the fighters. Trump, too, has shown support for the UFC on many occasions, and has proved that he is more than just a casual.
Trump can’t keep MMA out of politics
In the pre-fight press for Colby Covington vs Tyron Woodley, when Covington kept chanting Trump slogans, and Tyron Woodley did the same with ‘Black Lives Matter’, the MMA community was divided on whether it is a good move to bring Politics into MMA. Many say that it is best when politics is kept out of MMA, so that it does not end up like the NBA.
At his rallies, Trump has mentioned and praised fighters like Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Henry Cejudo, and Kamaru Usman. In a turn of events, it is now Trump who can’t keep MMA out of politics.
