Finally, after a long wait of 12 years, Tito Ortiz finally got his revenge as he knocked out his longtime rival Chuck Liddell in the first round of their fight today at the Forum in Los Angeles.
This fight was a trilogy promoted by Golden Boy’s Oscar De La Hoya of Chuck and Tito’s classic fights which took place back in 2004 and 2006. Both of which were won by Chuck Liddell.
Both fighters started out cautious and measured their punches. with Oritz stalking Liddell for the majority of the round and landing few exchanges. It was moments later that they engaged in another flurry of punches, with Ortiz landing a straight right that immediately dropped Liddell to the canvas. The referee immediately jumped to stop the fight.
Majority of the fans weren’t happy with the fight as they didn’t want to see an out of prime Chuck Liddell fighting Tito Ortiz. Fans showed their emotions on Twitter.

Was that worth it? Well? I hope you're happy.
That was gross in every which way imaginable.

That's why I didn't order the fight. Fighters will go on forever if you let them. And that's the problem. https://t.co/CwHrlNGdlr

CSAC officials attempting to stop Tito Ortiz from completing his celebratory dance was a nice touch. #LiddellOrtiz3

The way Chuck Liddell's breasts wobbled as he hit the canvas gave me the strangest erection.

Good lord. Liddlel looks worse than I thought, very slow and nothing is left there, and just as I write this he was knocked out cold by Tito Ortiz. Very bad idea of this return as doctors come to check on Liddell.

That was incredibly sad to witness. We are all terrible.

Yeah, so we didn't discover much. We just got reminded why Liddell was hounded to retire in the first place.

Tito Ortiz knocks Chuck Liddell out in the first round. Chuck looked very timid. Didn't throw much. Tito's confidence grew and he tracked him down. Showed zero respect for his power near the end of the fight. Just walked him right down. Liddell was out, seated now in the corner.

That was AWFUL to watch. Sad. Not fun in any facet. #titovschuck3

Tito was free money tonight. First clean shot on Chuck and he was donezo. Cant take a punch. 4 straight KO losses for him now. Please don't fight again Chuck.
