Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has predicted his friend and training partner Jorge Masvidal as the winner against Colby Covington at UFC 272. Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington will face each other in a highly anticipated grudge match at UFC 272. The duo used to be best friends but now have turned into each other’s worst rivals. The pair have been taking shots at each other for a very long time and they will finally get the chance to settle it at UFC 272. The event will take place on March 5, 2022, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, United States.
Tyron Woodley has trained with Jorge Masvidal for his past fights. Now ahead of Jorge Masvidal’s matchup with Colby, Tyron Woodley has predicted that Masvidal will win the fight.
“I feel like Masvidal is going to win because Masvidal is always big brother,” Tyron Woodley said on MMAJunkie Radio. “Once you have big brother syndrome over someone, I feel like you can’t really shake that unless you have a big breakout moment and you can consistently keep up. There’s a couple of guys that I used to wrestle and they would always beat me. Then I would beat them one time and I just f*****g got a little cocky and I just started beating them consecutively. That doesn’t happen very often.”
“I don’t think Colby had enough time fighting at the highest level in the gym with Masvidal to have had that moment,” Woodley continued about Masvidal-Covington. “Whenever he started getting to the point where he started talking enough to get himself in position, he had to leave the gym. They weren’t even training together anymore. So I don’t think he had a large enough victory in the gym” Tyron Woodley said.
Jorge Masvidal on Colby Covington fight
Jorge Masvidal is really hyped for his fight against Colby Covington at UFC 272. In his last conversation, Jorge Masvidal has revealed his evil intention in his fight against Colby.
“At the home, the temple, home to some real motherf*****rs. Left and right, I’m not the only one here that’s a bad motherf*****r, any bad motherf*****rs here. But not your b***h ass that got kicked out from here,” Masvidal said in a Twitter video. “Damn, man, I know it hurts every time you see that s**t. I know what a sensitive b***h you are and how you read comments and cry. I can’t imagine every time you see this symbol, it just hurts, man. Keep talking s**t though. I can’t wait. March 5th is getting closer, so is this knee to your temple.”
“Not only am I going to break your face in a very violent way but the UFC is going to see you’re such a liability that they’re gonna kick you out, bro,” Masvidal continued. “Then it’s going to be back to Indian reservations where you can fight, maybe you can co-main event or some s**t like that because I don’t even think you can main event after I’m done with you, in any show. I’m gonna f**k you up, man. Keep talking that s**t though. March 5th can’t come close enough. See you soon, b****h. Never forget.”
