The second season of the Titan Games is ongoing and now it will feature former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley. The American Sports competition premiered its second season on NBC on 25th May 2020.

As per Wikipedia, the show is hosted by Dwayne Johnson, the show features people from across America competing in endurance-based mental and physical challenges of “epic proportions” for the title of Titan.

This is not the first time that an MMA fighter has been featured on this show. In the inaugural season Derik Scott, an MMA fighter based out of regional promotion competed in it and finished second overall.

Here’s what the synopsis for the upcoming episodes featuring Tyron Woodley reads.

The competition moves to the Eastern Region as new competitors push their bodies to the limit by battling opponents in unforgiving head-to-head challenges, designed by host and executive producer Dwayne Johnson.

In this episode, competitors will compete in a best of three competition where the winner will move on to battle a Pro-Athlete Titan on Mt. Olympus, the consummate athletic test of speed, strength, agility and endurance. The top female competitor will face Olympic gold-medal-winning snowboarder Hannah Teter, while the top man will advance to compete against five-time UFC champion Tyron Woodley. What’s next for Tyron Woodley?

Tyron Woodley is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns in May. Although there were talks about him retiring after a one-sided beatdown from Burns, the former champion made it clear that he isn’t retiring.

Speaking on IG Live he stated that he would like to fight two more times in 2020.

I want to fight two more times this year. So we are right now in June. I feel like if I can get one on the books sometime in the near future then it still leaves me with November or December to fight again. I want to fight two more times this year. I want to just really knock out some fights. I’m excited about it. I’m ready to get back in there and get after it.” Woodley said.

I can’t think of anybody off the top of my head like, ‘Oh, let me fight this mother(expletive).’ If you lose a fight you don’t be coming out of the gate like, you ain’t really in a position to call anybody out. You kind of just got to take a seat, sit down, be humble, get back on the grind, get ready to beat somebody up. But you don’t really get to call the shots like that, at least I don’t think you should. Some people do. You know you who are.” Tyron Woodley concluded. (H/T – MMA Junkie)
