Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has given out his statement after his latest loss against Jake Paul in their boxing rematch. The boxing rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley took place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Jake was previously scheduled to fight Tommy Fury but he pulled out of the fight just a few weeks before the fight day. Tyron Woodley replaced Fury on short notice. The Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley first match was one of the most hyped matchups in recent history. The duo previously fought on August 29, 2021. Jake Paul won that fight by split decision.

The rematch didn’t go well for Woodley as he was knocked out cold by Jake Paul in the sixth round of the fight. Tyron Woodley had some good moments in the fight but couldn’t capitalize on them. Jake in the sixth round came out aggressive and had a trap set up for Woodley who fell right into it and lowered his guard and got caught with a vicious right hand.

After the fight, Woodley gave out his honest reaction to the fight and seemed very disappointed with his performance.

“I went back, and I looked at it, and I’m like, ‘Why the f*ck did I drop my hand?’” Woodley said. “I had both hands up. I knew it was coming. I was ready to block the overhand. I don’t know if he delayed it – even if he didn’t delay it, I don’t know why I dropped my hand. In this sport, it only takes one mistake.”

“I might be a lumberjack, because he went timber,” Paul said.

“I’m not done. Please don’t look at me with sorrowed eyes. Please do not look at me shaking your head,” Woodley said. “I done f*cked a lot of people up. … At some point, we’re gonna have to start putting a little respect on Jake’s name.”

“I never really disrespected him as a power puncher. That’s something we always knew. That’s why my defense was so tight. Had he dropped his hand on me, same sh*t would’ve happened. I can’t cry over spilled milk. I’m blessed to be here. I’m blessed for the opportunity to come out here and fight again to show you guys that I’m f*cking still here.”

Jake Paul after winning the fight took some shots at the UFC and UFC president Dana White.

“I just knocked out a five-time UFC champion and embarrassed your whole company,” Paul said. “And please, please let me get Kamaru Usman, please let me get Diaz, please let me get Masvidal, please let me get McGregor. Because I’m gonna embarrass them, too. I promise you that, Dana. I promise you that.”
