Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is going to fight 10th ranked Vincente Luque. Per Okamoto, the fight is being targeted for UFC 260 on March 27.

Contracts have not been signed, but the promotion is close to booking the 170-pound contest. The UFC has not officially announced a location for the March 27 pay-per-view event.
Woodley (19-6-1) is looking to snap a three-fight skid, the longest losing streak of his career. He surrendered his title to Kamaru Usman via unanimous decision in March 2019 and has since suffered losses to Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington. Usman, Covington, and Burns are the Nos. 1-, 2- and 3-ranked welterweights in the UFC, respectively. Not to mention, he hasn’t won a fight since a submission win over Darren Till in September 2018 at UFC 228. Losing to Luque could be a must-fight win for him.
Luque (19-7-1) is one of the most underrated welterweights in the game right now. He’s 12-3 overall in the promotion and 11 of his wins have come by stoppage. In his most recent outing, we saw Luque KO Randy Brown last August. He also had a KO win over Niko Price last May. Overall, Luque has won eight of his last nine fights. He continues to ascend the welterweight rankings and a win over Woodley would be exactly what he needs to prove that he’s a legitimate top-10 fighter.
A Heavyweight Championship rematch bout between current two-time champion Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou is expected to headline this event. The pairing met previously at UFC 220 on January 20, 2018, where Miocic won via unanimous decision and broke the record for most consecutive title defenses for the heavyweight championship with his third.
Ngannou (15-3) has won four fights in a row, all by the first-round stoppage. Miocic (20-3) has won two straight since losing the belt to Daniel Cormier two years ago. He defeated Cormier in a trilogy fight in August.
For Miocic, this will be his first fight since completing a trilogy against Daniel Cormier that saw the Ohio native fall in their initial meeting before beating the two-time Olympian in back-to-back contests. Miocic is widely considered the greatest heavyweight of all time and that fact was only strengthened when he dominated Ngannou in their first meeting back in 2018.
A Featherweight Championship bout between current champion Alexander Volkanovski and former title challenger Brian Ortega will serve as the co-main event.
The location for UFC 260 has yet to be announced, but sources told ESPN the fight is expected to take place in Las Vegas.
