In the lead up to UFC 214 and while shooting for the Embedded series, welterweight champ Tyron Woodley saw some Indians outside a hotel he was exiting from and immediately told the camera crew that if they knew he was in Sultan with Salman Khan then they would go crazy because they worship Salman Khan and funny enough when Tyron went up to the Indians to tell them that, they didn’t recognize him as Tyron the UFC champ but as soon as he told them about Sultan and his role in it they recognized him. Tyron then proceeded to show them his fight scene from Sultan on his phone (cute that he keeps it in his phone) and the Indians were ecstatic to meet him then.
After this sequence Tyron’s Uber driver turned out to Indian as well and Tyron told him about his role in Sultan and the Indian cab driver then immediately recognized him and got excited for having him in his cab. Tyron also joked that the Indian fans wanted to kill him after he had to act out breaking Salman’s ribs in the movie.
Seems Tyron knows that as far as the Indian fans are concerned, the way to their hearts is mentioning Salman Khan and his having worked with him in Sultan.
