UFC 226 event drew an announced sold-out attendance of 17,464 for a live gate of $5,677,238.21. UFC 226 was commercially a huge success and UFC must be very happy seeing the gate revenue. UFC officials announced the tallies after the event. UFC 226 took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and the main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
In the main event, Daniel Cormier made history by becoming only the second man in the history of UFC to simultaneously hold World title in two weight divisions after Conor McGregor who beat Eddie Alvarez to win lightweight title in 2016 and also subsequently holding Featherweight title.
Daniel Cormier knocked out stipe by landed a Salido-mosque overhand right inside which dropped Miocic and later Cormier finished the job by landing back to back blows to Stipe’s face. After the fight, Cormier called out Brock Lesnar and got into a physical altercation inside the octagon hyping the prospect of a future fight between the two superstars.
