Michelle Waterson defeated Felice Herrig via Unanimous Decision

The Karate Hottie was on fire today with her kicks and elbows that took away most of Herrig’s confidence right from the first round. The entire first round, Michelle was fighting with a backfoot work as she moved from one side to another landing clean side kicks to the body and face of Herrig. As the fight progressed to the second round, Michelle was able to take Herrig down and put her in that position for most of the time. Herring did try to fought back and was almost transitioning to an arm bar but the time ran out. It was clear at this point that Michelle was on the lead so Herrig had to turn the tide around and she did with a beautiful hip toss as she reversed the take down. But Michelle fought from the ground and landed some vicious elbows as Herrig was unable to do much from the top position. A clean victory for Michelle who declared “I want to be the first UFC champ that’s a Mom.

Derrick Lewis defeated Alexander Volkov via KO in Round 3

The way this heavyweight bout kicked off, it seemed like it was going to be a slow paced fight. But Drago picked up the pace in the second half of the opening round as he put Lewis in tight spots with his crisp striking. Numerous times Lewis was backed up to the cage turtling up trying to survive the barrage of punches. It as clear Drago’s reach and striking is no match for Lewis. The Black Beast was only looking for that one big shot and he did make it clear with some desperate attempts. Drago began to show signs of confidence as he put Lewis backed up to the cage again. But in the final round, Lewis delivered the BIG KABOSHHH landed right on the button as Drago dropped his hands low and was attempting a knee. He was down on the mat and out cold with the follow up punches. With this win, Lewis ties 4th most wins in the heavyweight with 12 wins and makes a clear statement…Don’t count the black beast out!

Dominick Reyes defeated Ovince St. Preux via Unanimous Decision

This was the biggest fight of Reyes’ career so far and he had his perfect record of 9-0 on the line against OSP who fought the best of the best in the light heavyweight division. Reyes started delivering nasty inside leg kicks that caught the attention of OSP who looked slow compared to his previous fights. OSP not gaining an upper hand in striking exchanges decided to go for a takedown. A  cheeky elbow lands on his left eye and cuts him open. From there on it was a downfall for OSP who struggled to keep up the pace with Reyes. In the final round, OSP looked gassed out and took some heavy shots. His marginal error was capitalized by Reyes who ducked and pivoted to a clean straight left that dropped him on the mat right before the final bell rang.

Tony Ferguson defeated Anthony Pettis via TKO (Corner Stoppage) after Round 2

The light weight co-main event has set the pace for the main event with its wild and bloody fight between Tony and Pettis. Roufusport prodigy Pettis displayed crisp kickboxing combinations and dropped Tony twice in the first round and continued to dominate him. Tony was slow on his feet after taking some shots to the legs, but recovered quickly and stayed in the fight. As the fight moved in the second round, Tony decided to give no breathing room for Pettis and peppered with short strikes. His elbow landed right on the temple and and cut Pettis who began to bleed there on. The tide had turned int he favour of Tony who just kept on hammering until the end of the round. Duke Roufus decided not to let Pettis fight anymore with a broken right arm and the fight was stopped.

Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor via Submission in Round 4

The biggest fight of the year and by far in the UFC ended in a spectacular fashion as Conor was smashed right from the first round with Khabib mauling him like a bear and forcing him tap out to via neck crank. Conor didnt stand a chance against the 26-0 undefeated champion who is known for his devastating take downs and relentless pressure. Khabib dropped Conor with an overhand right and got his attention. He tool him down in every round and was on the top position for more than 5 mins as he landed vicious punches & elbows. By the third round, Conor was all gassed out and Khabib standing right in front of him mocking his striking. He stood toe to toe against him and threw beautiful combinations. But the end was written in the form of another take down where Conor tapped for the second time inside the octagon. There is absolutely no one who can defeat the Eagle…not even the Irish Gorilla.
