Israel Adesanya defeated Derek Brunson via TKO in Round 1
The Last Style Bender extended his win streak to 14-0 with a superior technical showdown against the biggest test of his UFC career. After his previous two fights going the distance and a not so flashy performance Adesanya vowed to come back with a stoppage. Many believed his ground game had holes and tonight it would be tested against Derek Brusnson, but Adesanya shut the critics just like he shut off the take down attempts. Derek kept coming for a single take take down, but ate a perfectly timed knee which was the beginning of the end. With just 9 seconds remaining in the first round, Adesanya dropped Derek twice with his strikes, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight.

Karl Roberson defeated Jack Marshman via Unanimous Decision
Climbing out of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, Robertson picked up his first win inside the octagon last year but he also tasted defeat for the first time. This was his chance to redeem himself and prove that he can stick around with the UFC caliber fighters. It didn’t take much effort from Robertson’s part to out struck Marshman. With crisp striking and perfectly times take downs, Robertson was able to dictate the fight the entire three rounds. Marshman’s head movement and footwork did little help to him as he ate strikes after strikes. It was nothing but a clean and dominant victory for Robertson.
