Feints, dodges, antics and trolling…that’s what we expected when the two best middleweights were set to collided inside the Octagon. Adesanya left no tactic from his book to stand toe-to-toe with the master of antics Anderson Silva and in the end they delivered a main event that was worth the hype. Adesanya relied heavily on his leg kicks in the opening round and landed a head kick as Silva pressed forward. Adesanya was all over Silva in the first round but the Brazilian legend came back aggressive in the second and put Adesanya in tight spots with his flurry of punches. At one point it looked like the fight could end anytime but both the fighters dodged bullets from each other and continued dance around. Silva completely dropped his hands and mocked Adesanya who landed some clean shots on his chin. In the end it was the accuracy and frequency of the stylebender which got him a clean victory. #6 ranked Adesanya now stands inline for a title fight, but against who? is the BIG question.
