UFC 235’s Tyron Woodley: I rank myself as the greatest right now
In the co-main event of UFC 235, welterweight champion Tyrone Woodley will lock horns against the surging contender, Kamaru Usman. He will enter the fight with a record of 19-3-1, out of which 12 have been finishes. The Chosen One will face Usman for his 5th title defense, with his last defense coming in September 2018 against Darren Till at UFC 228.
The American Top Team product enters the fight with a lot of momentum by his side, given he’s on a 7 fight streak. If he manages to win he’ll have the second highest number of title defenses in the history of the welterweight division. Ahead of the fight, he took some time off to answer a few questions
- You enter the fight in hopes to secure a 5th UFC title defense. If you were to win, where would you rank yourself amongst the greats of the sport?
Woodley: I rank myself as the greatest right now and when I win it’s just one more statement to prove that what I was saying was true.
- If you had the chance to pick any 1 big money fight, whom would you want to face?
Woodley: Right now there are no big money fights out there for me to take, I need to put myself into the position where I am the money fight and people want to fight me. Compelling match-ups where it makes sense and a lot of fans want to watch.
