UFC veteran Jotko and a new comer Barriault kicked off the main event with their grueling middleweight fight. Jotko after losing three straight fights picked up his first win this year and was in high spirits entering this fight. But it was not an easy one for Jotko as he struggled to secure a dominant position and get the best of Barriault. Jotko’s volume of punches and the accuracy with which he landed edged him over Barriault who was hesitant to engage at times. Jotko landed more than 50 per cent of the strikes making Barriault to switch the game plan from striking to take downs. Both the middle weights went back and forth for the most of the fight with Jotko landing some nasty uppercuts on the Canadian. Jotko has now won his last two fights in a row meanwhile, Barriault has now lost two in a row.
