Shamil Abdurakhimov under estimated Curtis Blaydes and had to pay a huge price with a second round TKO. Curtis who’s a #5 ranked heavyweight was too strong to handle and took Abdurakhimov down multiple times just like he planned. Once he got there, Blaydes just blasted Abdurakhimov with a series of punches and elbows. But time ran out and Abdurakhimov survived to see the second round. Blaydes continued with his game plan and took Abdurakhimov down in just 30 secs of the second round. But this time, Blaydes made sure not to let Abdurakhimov get back to his feet or have time run out. He blasted Abdurakhimov ‘s face with a barrage of elbows that restructured his nose causing the referee to stop the fight. Blaydes picked up his second win of 2019 and is slowly but steadily climbing the heavyweight ladder.
