The biggest trilogy fight in the history of the UFC is upon us. UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will be taking on former two-division champion Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 252 at the Apex in Las Vegas.
The winner of this fight will cement their legacy as the heavyweight GOAT.
It is one of the most anticipated trilogies of all time in the UFC and both fighters are 1-1 heading into this third fight. The pair fought for the first time at UFC 226 back in 2018 and in that fight, Cormier knocked out Miocic in the first round.
The rematch took place at UFC 241 in August of 2019 and this time around, Miocic made adjustments and even after losing the opening rounds, he made a comeback later in the fight and started hammering Cormier with body shots and ultimately knocked him out in the fourth round to regain the title.
In the Co-main event, Sean O’Malley will take on Marlon Vera in a highly-anticipated bantamweight clash. O’Malley will be looking forward to extending his winning streak to 3-0 in the UFC.
Later on the main card, former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos takes on Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

Now let’s get back to UFC 252 card which is stacked from the top to the bottom.
Daniel Cormier (1.83) vs Stipe Miocic (1.95)
Despite being the champion, Stipe Miocic is the betting underdog in this fight, which is kind of a disservice since he is the much younger fighter and is the champion after making crucial adjustment mid-fight to beat Cormier.
Daniel Cormier is the betting favourite at 1.83, which essentially means that if you bet ₹100 on him and he wins the fight, you will make a total of ₹183. On the other hand, Stipe Miocic is priced at 1.95, which means a ₹100 bet on him will fetch punters ₹195 if he wins.

This was probably the hardest prediction article I have written. Never have I been so much conflicted in picking a winner for a fight because both Stipe and Cormier are so much good in what they do is that I can make a case for either guy winning or losing a fight.
However, after hours of tape analysis and going thru boatload of statistics, I finally have a winner. Heading into this fight, Cormier is the most successful heavyweight in the UFC considering the number of title defenses he has had over the years.
While the 25-foot cage will favour DC, as he had mentioned over the last few days that he will be going for the takedowns and putting that Olympic wrestling pedigree on display. Cormier also has the ability to beat Miocic to the punch standing up. While a much couldn’t be understood from their first fight, as it ended in a TKO in the first round itself, the rematch, however, told us everything we needed to know.
Daniel Cormier isn’t getting younger and at 41, his cardio isn’t going to be the same when he was younger. Cormier was relatively winning the fight early in the rematch, but Stipe Miocic made quick adjustments and turned things around hitting him with body shots. Every time, Stipe dug to the body, it took something out of Cormier.
Miocic knows the mantra to win this fight and that will be to avoid the takedowns and go the body early and maintain his distance from Cormier. At 6-foot-4 and with a reach of 80 inches, he already has a five-inch height and an eight-inch reach advantage over the Louisiana native.
With that being said, Stipe Miocic looked lean and mean, weighing in at around 232lbs at the weigh-ins and it was the best shape I have ever seen him in and this only makes my position cleared as to the fact that the Fireman from Ohio is taking the fight. While people are making a case for Cormier as well as the former champion came it at around 236lbs and I will admit he did look good at the weigh-ins. However, he weighed in similar in their last fight and he ended up gassing out.
