Reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will be looking to avenge two consecutive losses from his kickboxing days which came from the hands of Alex Pereira as he takes on the Brazilian in the main event of UFC 281 taking place at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on 12th November.

In the co-main event, we have UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza taking on the former champion Weili Zhang. Esparza is the heavy underdog going into this fight and she hasn’t been on the favourable side of the bookies for quite some time now. In her last eight fight, he has been the underdog in each one of them. On the other hand, Zhang is a ferocious fighter. Ever since capturing the title back in 2019, she is 2-2 in her weight class. She has defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice and lost to Rose Namajunas.

Also present on this card is a mouth watering lightweight fight between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler. The former Bellator champion, Chandler is coming off of a vicious knockout win over former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson. On the other hand, this will be Dustin Poirier’s first fight in nearly eleven months. He last fought against Charles Oliveira where he suffered a submission loss.
