CM Punk suffered a beating at the hands of Mike Jackson at UFC 225. However his sufferings haven’t improved ever since. Whether it is Dana White calling a wrap on his MMA career or UFC 225 bombing at Pay Per View buys. Dana White said at the UFC 225 media day that when Overeem would sell as much as Punk did he would consider him putting in the main card.

However according to a report by LA Times, UFC 225 did less than 150 thousand buys, bringing it under the banner of bombed PPVs. UFC lightweight Al Iaquinta mocked UFC President Dana White for putting CM Punk on the main card and then blaming the “smart” audience for the outcome.
Looks like @danawhite is frustrated. Now he is blaming the intelligent fans! HE paid 500k-1m to a guy with zero physical talent to fight a reporter… not the result he was looking for… PPV didn’t sell. Waaaa 😢 https://t.co/dTYgtreNYM

After his second loss in as many fights, Punk’s career hangs in uncertainty with a great possibility that we may never see the WWE superstar step foot in the Octagon again.
