Cain Velasquez has long been considered as one of the most dangerous men on the planet. However, due to consistent injury troubles he has fallen behind in the race of being the greatest MMA heavyweight ever. He last fought over two years ago at UFC 200 against a fading Travis Browne. He has been on the sidelines ever since. Though, Velasquez has still been in the news in recent months as he has started showing up to more and more WWE and other pro-wrestling events. Such appearances have given rise to rumours that Velasquez might be on the verge of a WWE stint. In a spectacular turn of events, such rumours have gained even more fire, as Velasquez recently trained at the WWE’s famous performance centre along with pro-wrestling legend, Diamond Dallas Page.
The A.K.A man who has been a life-long fan of the sport trained for pro-wrestling, claimed that he was looking forward to learning even more. Here’s what he told WWE’s official website:
My experience here has been amazing, I’m just looking forward to being here and learning as much as I can. I’ve been a fan of the sport since I was a little kid, and now I get to participate in it.
Cain won’t be the first UFC champion to join the WWE. Former champions such as Ken Shamrock and Ronda Rousey have also been associated with the pro-wrestling promotion.
