The internet has been abuzz the last couple of days with a potential Floyd Mayweather vs CM Punk fight inside the Octagon.
These rumours started surfacing after Floyd Mayweather posted a couple of videos of him entering the Octagon that went viral.
After a brief exchange with Conor McGregor on social media, suggestive that the two may fight once again – this time inside the Octagon – Floyd Mayweather’s trainer Jeff Mayweather was filmed saying that they may want to face CM Punk first as a tune-up fight.
However, Leonard Ellerbe – the CEO of Mayweather Promotions – shot down any chances of a MMA fight between Floyd Mayweather and CM Punk when asked about it by Fight Hub TV.
He went on to say that he has heard of CM Punk through wrestling but that the possibility of a fight between him and Floyd inside the Octagon had never been discussed.
