Recently the return of former UFC featherweight title challenger and former UFC interim featherweight title challenger Chad ‘Money’ Mendes looked around the corner. However the rumour was turned into reality as the UFC earlier announced that ‘Money’ would be returning back inside the octagon. Mendes (17-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) will take on #15 ranked Myles Jury (17-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) at Fight Night 133 on July 14 in Boise, Idaho.
Mendes is on a two-fight losing streak. He is 1-3 in his last 4 fights. After losing to José Aldo Jr. by an infamous knee back in 2012. Mendes again stacked up a five-fight winning streak only to lose to Aldo again via unanimous decision. He then bounced back with a TKO victory against Ricardo Lamas. But then lost to two former champions in Conor McGregor and Frankie Edgar. (via Twitter):

On June 10, 2016, the UFC announced that Mendes had been informed of a potential doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition test conducted by USADA Mendes responded, “I didn’t do my homework and that was a big mistake. I own it and I’m going to pay for it. On July 20, 2016, USADA reported that Mendes tested positive for GHRP-6 growth hormone release stimulator, and suspended Mendes for 2 years. He will not be eligible to compete again until June 10, 2018.
Jury on the other hand has looked nothing but exceptional. Returning after a year and a half break, Jury has registered victories against Mike De LA Torre and Rick Glenn. His only two setbacks have been against tuff fighters in Donald Cerrone and Charles Oliveira.
