Chad Mendes returned to the octagon after a long gap when he fought at UFC Boise. Not only did he fight, Mendes picked up a win as well by stopping Myles Jury in the first round.

Mendes was out for more than two years due to a suspension from USADA. Now that he has returned with a win, Mendes says that he is right back on top of the division.
“I think I left at No. 2 or No. 3 – put me back in there. That’s where I belong. There’s some newer guys moving into the division, but I feel like I match up with these guys. My athleticism, my power, my speed, my wrestling back. I think it’s just going to be too much for these guys to handle. I feel confident going against any of these dudes. Put me right back where I was.” He said. (via MMA Junkie)
Mendes holds a record of 18-4 to his name and was on a two-fight losing streak before he went into suspension.
